"As I recall, the photo is of the first diamond nine team. It performed at both Paris and Farnborough, and other venues. Slot numbers were: Lead John Howe, 2-Jerry Cohu, 3-Lefty Wright, 4-Ted Nance, 5-Mike Dodd, 6-Tim Nelson, 7-George Black, 8-Martin Bee, 9-Maurice Williams. The only change to this as I recall was when Ken Goodwin synchronised his Lightning individual display with the team. When this happened, Ken slotted in behind me at No 9 and broke away at some stage in the show to commence individual. Obviously Maurice dropped out for Ken" |
